Learning Commons Borrowing Rules

 Learning Commons Borrowing Rules

We share all of the books in our learning commons so it is important that we follow some checkout procedures to make sure that every one has access our learning resources. To do this, the following checkout guidelines exist:

Kindergarten:    2 books totalGrade 1, 2 & 3:  2 books total -  1 English, 1 SpanishGrades 4 & 5:    3 books total -  2 English, 1 Spanish

Books are loaned out for a two week periodPlease be sure your books are returned on time. If a book is overdue, another book cannot be checked out until the overdue book is returned.

Dalhousie School strives to provide the very best learning commons experience possible. One of our tasks is to retrieve library books that are overdue and to replace those that have gone missing or have been damaged. Items that are 30 days overdue are automatically considered lost and a Lost Book replacement fee will be charged to the students MyCBE PowerSchool account, which can be paid online.

All fees are final. Once the item is paid for, the item is considered yours. If your student finds the missing book after the fee is paid, they are welcome to keep the item.
