Learning Update February 15 2023

This week students worked on the following:

English:

Students wrote a variety of writing prompts after listening to different stories about friendship and kindness, such as:

In my heart, I have...

Pink is for everyone because...

A good friend is someone who...

Books: Choose Kindness by Ruth Ohi  

            Pink is for Everybody by Ella Russell

            There was a Lady Who Swallowed a Rose

Students drew and wrote Valentine's cards for a friend and for people outside the school to be sent to a parent who can distribute the cards to colleagues or co-workers.


Spanish: 
Students wrote sentences with the vocabulary of winter and winter clothing.

Math:

We continue in our addition and subtraction unit. We are currently focusing on addition and subtraction problems up to 10. 

We created posters for the 100th day of school.


Social Studies

  • A sheet is going home today for your child to fill out with you. It is about family traditions. Please bring this sheet back to the school by February 24
