Learning Update May 16 2023

After reading The Paper Bag Princess, students created a fairy tale story as a class.

Students are currently working on writing their own fairy tales after drawing their story map. They used a sequencing list of sentence starters to begin their stories.

Spanish

Students were learning about healthy eating habits and drew three healthy meals using the vocabulary of food.

Math:

Students continued to practice the addition and subtraction facts up to 20 using the following strategies:

Ten frames, number lines, making ten, pictures, and equations.

Social Studies:

Students learned,  compared and completed a poster with the past and the present in different aspects of daily life.

Science:

Students will begin to do animal research to learn about habitat, diet, adaptations and fun facts.
